Mabie House is somewhere I’ve always loved. Be it family walks, Sunday lunch or playing there in bands whilst younger, Mabie has always been a place I’ve enjoyed being. I was excited to be back to photograph the wedding of Julian and Becky.  Despite it being October in Scotland and it having rained for the past two weeks pretty much constantly the big day arrived the storm clouds cleared and the most beautiful sunny late autumn day welcomed the new couple allowing them to have their ideal outdoor wedding on the front gardens followed by some LARPing antics that were new to me.  Thanks again for inviting me to share your day. Firsts are important!

First impression, first kiss, first love, first wedding. Well sometimes firsts are also lasts, I hope that’s the case for Kyle and Natalie when it comes to weddings as they are a lovely couple who I hope will have a long happy marriage together. They are also incredibly brave as this was also a first for me being the first wedding I’ve photographed. It was a long  and busy day capturing everything from them but I couldn’t have asked for a nicer group of people to have done it for. From the drizzly morning at Sanquhars St Brides Church until the final dance at Biggars Cornhill House Hotel, the happiness radiated from them and their family and friends which made the 18 hour day fly in for me.

Congratulations to you both and thank you for putting your faith in me I had a fantastic time and really hope you are happy with the photos. Continue reading ›
